We are a full-service music publishing company providing comprehensive publishing services including catalog registration, royalty collection, licensing and creative. We pride ourselves on being a writer-friendly, efficient and effective music publisher that operates with the utmost integrity. Much of our business comes from referral which is a testament to the relationship we have with our writers.
Since our inception, we have signed over 30 contemporary songwriters with major artist releases including Beyonce, Ashanti, Leona Lewis, Boyz II Men, Raheem DeVaughn, Jay Z, Rihanna, Drake, Twista, Busta Rhymes, JoDee Messina and Jennifer Lopez. We continue to aggressively pursue songwriter partnerships.
Scion is sub-published in foreign territories by Memory Lane Music Group and its affiliates. Memory Lane Music and its division, Larry Spier Music LLC, is one of the oldest major-indie publishers with over 80 years in the business. Memory Lane supports the catalogs of such prestigious writers as George D. Weiss (“What A Wonderful World,” “The Lion Sleeps Tonight”), Larry Stock (“You’re Nobody ‘Til Somebody Loves You,” “Blueberry Hill”), Haven Gillespie (“Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town,” “You Go To My Head”), Joseph Meyer (“California Here I Come”) and Dave Dreyer (“Me And My Shadow,” “There’s A Rainbow ‘Round My Shoulder”).

Scion Music’s record label division was formed in 2008 to focus mainly on artist development. We believe the best music is artist-driven and the record label is an extension of the artist’s creative capability, fostering an environment that allows for creative growth and expression by the artist.
Distribution:
Scion Music is distributed by Universal-Fontana. Realizing that there are numerous indie record labels and artists without mainstream distribution, we partner with these labels and artists distributing their projects through Universal-Fontana. We are currently seeking distribution ready, commercially viable projects.
